Melissa Rose, LPC-MHSP, NCC

Melissa Rose is a board certified, Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in the treatment of children and families. For over 7 years, she has dedicated my practice to working with kids in various capacities including grant-based programs, in-home services, and most recently, in private practice. Her expertise ranges from early childhood challenges to the ever-evolving teenager, and all of the beautiful chaos in between. She is experienced in treating a number of childhood issues including anxiety, depression, impulse control issues, mood dysregulation, and learning disabilities. She is a certified Child and Adolescent Trauma Professional (CATP) and hold specialized knowledge in the treatment of children who have experienced traumatic stress.This includes medical trauma, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS), abuse, and neglect.

Melissa’s therapeutic approach is eclectic and child-centered meaning elements of evidence-based techniques are blended together to achieve a personalized treatment that is best suited for your child. She utilizes non-directive and directive play therapy, DBT, CBT, TF-CBT, Child Parent Psychotherapy, and evidence-based strategies for parent consulting. She is an advocate for early childhood interventions and pursue ongoing research and trainings in the field of infant, child, and adolescent mental health to ensure the most effective treatment available.
