Welcome to GI For Kids, Healthy Lifestyle Clinic! We are excited that you have taken the first step toward improving your child’s health and that you have invited us to partner with you and your child on this journey. Our approach to medical obesity management is similar to that of other chronic diseases, like asthma or high blood pressure. Treatment is tailored to your child’s and your family’s needs and may look different than someone else in our program. Success is dependent on many factors, including genetics, other health conditions, medication use, and your personal goals for long-term treatment.
Our team promises to provide compassionate, non-judgmental care that is sensitive to your child’s individual needs. We are committed to your child’s medical wellbeing along this journey as we will monitor your child’s health status based on best medical guidelines. As healthcare providers dedicated to your child’s health, success includes improvements in related health conditions, body composition, vital signs – including BMI stabilization and reduction, as well as quality of life. This requires a chronic care model – one where our team is here to support your child each step of the way.
We recognize this is a challenging, long-term endeavor. Along your child’s journey, we will celebrate their successes and support your child during difficult times. Please don’t hesitate to ask us questions and share with us any struggles your child may have.
