Procedure Billing Information
To keep you as informed as possible about your/your child’s upcoming procedure, below is a breakdown of what to expect regarding billing. You may receive separate invoices from the following specialties/facilities for their portion of your/your child’s procedure:
- Facility – ETCH, Turkey Creek Medical Center, UTMCK, Middlebrook Surgery Center, Surgery Center of Cleveland, Cumberland Valley Surgical Center, Volunteer Surgical Center
- Equipment
- Scheduling/Insurance Authorizations
- Nursing care/Staff
- Supplies
- Medications
- GI For Kids
- Physician performing your/your child’s procedure
- Extra testing/procedures/interventions, such as:
- BRAVO
- pH Probe
- Capsule Endoscopy
- Feeding Tube Placements
- Pathology (see below)
- Anesthesia
- Sedation care- CRNA and/or Anesthesiologist
- Supplies
- Medications
- Pathology – Opus, GI For Kids, IPS, LabCorp, Quest
- Biopsies
- Preparation of the slides
- Reading/interpretation of biopsies by a Pathologist
- Biopsies
Your insurance(s) will be billed first, then the account guarantor will receive a bill for the remaining amount. If you are self-pay, then a plan will be worked out with the guarantor before the procedure. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
