Ryan Davis, DNP

I grew up in East Tennessee and bleed orange (GO VOLS). My wife Samantha and I have been blessed with two children, Jensen and Aurora. My hobbies include fishing, vintage Volkswagens, and spending time with family & friends. My desire to help others began when I accepted a role as a nurse-extender at St. Mary’s Hospital in Knoxville, TN. I attended Carson-Newman University where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) before venturing into my career as a bedside nurse in the pediatric intensive care unit at East Tennessee Childrens Hospital (ETCH). After 3 years as a bedside nurse, I pursued my advanced practice degree as a pediatric nurse practitioner (PNP) by earning my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Tennessee. I practiced as a primary care PNP for over 5 years in both Tennessee and Maryland. My desire to help patients encouraged me to further my education by earning my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from Johns Hopkins University. I consider pediatric nursing to be one of the greatest gifts I have ever received. I am blessed to be a member of this family here at GI for Kids.
