EGD Instructions
If you/your child is sick or has a fever within 24 hours of the time of his/her procedure, please notify our office immediately.
All labwork ordered must be completed and resulted before the procedure to avoid the possibly of rescheduling.
Please arrive at UTMCK at the arrive time you were given. Please park in the H garage and enter in the doors at the round-about. The endoscopy suite entrance will be to your left once you enter in the main doors. Please make sure that if you are over 18 that you bring someone with you to drive you home after your procedure. If you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian must accompany you.
If you/your child is having an additional procedure with their EGD such as a pH Probe, Bravo, or Pill Cam; other instructions will be provided.
YOU/YOUR CHILD CANNOT HAVE ANYTHING TO EAT OR DRINK AFTER MIDNIGHT UNLESS OTHERWISE DIRECTED BY THE SURGERY DEPARTMENT.
