EGD Information
If you/your child is sick or has a fever within 24 hours of the time of his/her procedure, please notify our office immediately.
All labwork ordered must be completed and resulted before the procedure to avoid the possibly of rescheduling.
Turkey Creek Medical Center is located at 10820 Parkside Dr, Knoxville TN 37934 and you will park and enter at the smaller building to the left of the main hospital. They will call you the day before you/your child’s procedure to give you an arrival time. Please make sure that if you are over 18 years of age, you bring someone with you to drive you home after your procedure. If your child is under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must be present.
If you/your child is having an additional procedure with their EGD such as a pH Probe, Bravo, or Pill Cam; other instructions will be provided.
YOU/YOUR CHILD CANNOT HAVE ANYTHING TO EAT OR DRINK AFTER MIDNIGHT UNLESS OTHERWISE DIRECTED BY THE SURGERY DEPARTMENT.
