Middlebrook Surgery Center
If your child is sick or has a fever within 24 hours of the time of his/her procedure, please notify our office immediately.
All lab work ordered must be completed and resulted before the procedure to avoid the possibly of rescheduling.
Middlebrook Surgery Center is located at 1210 Tennova Medical Way, Knoxville TN 37909, off Middlebrook Pike. You will receive a call 2-3 days before the procedure with your arrival time. You will also receive a text to pre-register, please complete this as soon as possible.
Please make sure that if you are over 18 years of age, you bring someone with you to drive you home after your procedure. If your child is under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must be present.
If you/your child is having an additional procedure with their EGD such as a pH Probe, Bravo, or Pill Cam; other instructions will be provided.
Have a light dinner and then no soild food after 8:00 pm. You may continue to have clear liquids until midnight.
NOTHING TO EAT OR DRINK AFTER MIDNIGHT UNLESS OTHERWISE DIRECTED BY THE SURGERY DEPARTMENT.
NO DRUGS (INCLUDING THC EDIBLES) OR SMOKLESS TOBACCO PRODUCTS 24 HOURS BEFORE PROCEDURE. THIS WILL INTERFERE WITH ANESTHESIA AND WILL RESULT IN RESCHEULING OF THE PROCEDURE.
