Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is Vyvanse a weight loss drug?
A: No. It is not approved for weight loss and should not be used for that purpose alone.

Q: Can I drink caffeine or alcohol?
A: Avoid excessive caffeine. Alcohol may increase side effects or mask Vyvanse’s effects—talk to your provider.

Q: How long will I need to take Vyvanse?
A: Treatment duration is individualized. Some people take it long-term; others taper off under supervision once binge episodes are controlled.
