Uceris is a prescription medicine (corticosteroid) used to help get mild to moderate Ulcerative Colitis (UC) under control. Uceris should not be used if a person is allergic to budesonide or any ingredient in this medicine.

Before taking Uceris, tell the doctor about any of the following: liver problems, planned surgery, an infection, a family history of diabetes, cataracts, or glaucoma, have chicken pox or measles or if you have been near someone who has measles or chicken pox, have or had tuberculosis, high blood pressure, stomach ulcers, osteoporosis, or any other medical condition.

Tell the doctor about all the medicines the child is taking, including prescription and over-the-counter vitamins, and herbal supplements because Uceris and other medicines may affect each other causing side effects.
