Capsule Endoscopy
A capsule endoscopy is a test done to examine the entire digestive tract instead of just your esophagus, stomach, and upper intestines. The doctor may want you to have this test to determine why you may be having symptoms such as diarrhea, bleeding, abdominal pain, or anemia.
Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)
This is a test which examines your liver, pancreas, gallbladder, and bile ducts. The physician uses a small, flexible tube, which has a light on it to examine these organs.
Upper Endoscopy For Kids
An upper endoscopy (also called esophagogastroduodenoscopy or EGD) is a test done by a doctor to examine the esophagus, stomach, and upper intestine for possible causes of problems with your child’s digestive tract.
